From Shelagh Rogers (broadcaster)
You could be forgiven for thinking photographer Dennis Minty is an eagle.
The facts: Dennis Minty and eagles see things in the distance in sharp focus. Most humans see three basic colours; Dennis Minty and eagles see five. Whereas most humans have 200,000 light-sensitive cells in their eyes, eagles and Dennis Minty have a million.
What this means: Dennis sees things that most of us don't. His photographs hold the heart and soul of a place. And they contain a narrative fit for a novel. You don't look at photographs by Dennis Minty. You enter them. And whole new worlds.

Thanks Shelagh

The passion is the place, so here you will find my interpretations of some fantastic regions of this earth. My favourite places tend to be off-the-beaten track, including my own home and inspiration, Newfoundland and Labrador.
All photos are for sale, either as fine art prints, or as stock for publication. I hope you enjoy yourself and please say hello in the Guest Book or use the Add Comment button let me know your thoughts on any particular photo. Dennis Minty

Thank you, Dennis, for taking me back to some very favourite places - as always, your photos are breathtaking and evocative. I look forward to seeing more of the northern world, as I, too, suffer from Arcticus Feverous. Perhaps we will do it together again with Adventure Canada.

We met many years ago in the Seychelles and, I think, again in Zimbabwe. I've just looked at your new website and the wonderful capture of light, colour and contrast. Exceptional work. Great to hear of the Shanghai exposition.

If, when, you come to West Coast, do get in touch! Sylvia has a website of her abstract paintings which you may find of interest.
