From Shelagh Rogers (broadcaster)
You could be forgiven for thinking photographer Dennis Minty is an eagle.
The facts: Dennis Minty and eagles see things in the distance in sharp focus. Most humans see three basic colours; Dennis Minty and eagles see five. Whereas most humans have 200,000 light-sensitive cells in their eyes, eagles and Dennis Minty have a million.
What this means: Dennis sees things that most of us don't. His photographs hold the heart and soul of a place. And they contain a narrative fit for a novel. You don't look at photographs by Dennis Minty. You enter them. And whole new worlds.

Thanks Shelagh

The passion is the place, so here you will find my interpretations of some fantastic regions of this earth. My favourite places tend to be off-the-beaten track, including my own home and inspiration, Newfoundland and Labrador.
All photos are for sale, either as fine art prints, or as stock for publication. I hope you enjoy yourself and please say hello in the Guest Book or use the Add Comment button let me know your thoughts on any particular photo. Dennis Minty

Newfoundland has beauty and splendour that most people enjoy, but the knack you have for capturing it so well is truly exceptional. The panoramas of our province give me a proud feeling to be from this wonderful place, thanks for showing us the photographic journey you have taken along the way. Keep at it Dennis,we will be waiting and watching with excitement! W

Dennis..................I feel blessed to have met you and thank you profoundly for sharing your 'eye' and your heart throughout the Galapagos..............both in front of and behind your camera! Paraphrasing what Rick said to Louis in the last line of CASABLANCA, "I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship!"

Thank you, Dennis, for taking me back to some very favourite places - as always, your photos are breathtaking and evocative. I look forward to seeing more of the northern world, as I, too, suffer from Arcticus Feverous. Perhaps we will do it together again with Adventure Canada.
